These tips are perfect for when your birthday date actually falls during your Walt Disney Vacation, however, WDW knows you may be celebrating a birthday before or after the actual date too.
It all starts before you even arrive at the Walt Disney World Resorts and ParksâŠ
The celebration begins while planning your Walt Disney World vacation.
When you arrive at Walt Disney World Resorts and Parks, be sure to ask for a birthday celebration button â they are Free! A Cast Member will add your name and you will be able to wear the button for your whole vacation. Cast Members and other WDW Guests will enjoy wishing you a Happy Birthday! throughout your trip.

Enjoy wearing your Birthday Celebration Button every day â you will be amazed at all of the well wishes from Cast Members and Guests â you meet along the way. Sometimes you will receive a little extra pixie dust from Cast Members at rides, attractions, and table-service dining locations.
Disney is known for their outstanding service and helping you celebrate your birthday is right up their alley. While celebrating birthdays with my family we have experienced several of the following, Iâll call them âmagical possibilitiesâ.

My personal review of Be Our Guest:
We have eaten both breakfast and dinner/dessert at Be Our Guest. The food during breakfast was plentiful (enough for 2 adults to share 1 meal), especially with the tray of fruit and bread which accompanied the table. We had a late dinner reservation (10:30 pm) and opted for dessert only. We tried the grey stuff – it was delicious!

Disney World offers princess lovers lots of fairy tale magic throughout the Resorts and Parks. From resort rooms to specialty dining to character interactions, you can treat your princess like a queen during your family vacation. If you have a fan of Ariel and the Little Mermaid movie in your family, here are ten must-do’s to include in your vacation planning.
Write to the princess and receive a postcard from Ariel and friends.
Plunge into your vacation by staying in a Little Mermaid room at the Art of Animation, a Value+ resort. Featuring 2 double beds or 1 king bed, the Little Mermaid rooms accommodate families with up to four people.
Visit the Little Mermaid section of Art of Animation. Staying somewhere else during your Disney vacation? No problem, just pop by AOA to visit Ariel, King Triton, Flounder, and more Little Mermaid friends featured as larger-than-life iconic figures in the courtyard and pool area. As you meander along the pathway of the courtyard reliving Ariel’s story, be sure to notice how the landscaping, shrubbery, and plant life scenery bring to life the ‘under the sea’ feel for this section of the resort.

Now it’s time for your little mermaid to meet The Little Mermaid! Nestled among her treasures, visit Ariel at Her Grotto. Ariel, in her fins, has a meet and greet in New Fantasyland. FastPass+ offered.
Also in New Fantasyland, the Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid attraction will whisk you under the water “where everything is better”. Safe inside your clamshell, you will relive how one lucky mermaid found true love and went from fins to legs. FastPass+ offered.
During the Festival of Fantasy Parade, watch for “an under-the-sea jubilee starring Ariel, Sebastian, and an enchanted ocean ensemble from The Little Mermaid atop a sparkling music box”.
Hollywood Studios
Enjoy the Voyage of the Little Mermaid performance during your visit to Hollywood Studios. This live extravaganza is filled with large and colorful puppets, performers, special effects, and movie clips. FastPass+ offered.
Epcot
Meet Ariel, with legs, during a Princess Storybook Dining breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall which is located in Norway. Advanced Dining Reservations are recommended.
Your princess will treasure her memories from your vacation forever! Keep them fresh in her mind with a photo album highlighting her mermaid moments. Keep your scrapbooking simple by printing theme cards and mixing/matching them with your candids or the Memory Maker photos in a pocket album.
