“it’s a small world” Lyrics

it’s a small world is a popular, musical boat ride located in the Fantasyland area Magic Kingdom Park.  The ride features over 300 brightly costumed audio-animatronic dolls dressed in the style of the children of the world, frolicking in a spirit of international unity, and singing the attraction’s title song, which

Pressed Pennies

Pressed Pennies

Pressed Pennies or Elongated Coin Machines are available throughout the Walt Disney World Resort and Parks.

A pressed coin is created when it is squeezed, flattened, and engraved through two rollers.

Most of the machines are electronic, but there are hand-crank machines too.

Located in all parks and resort areas, including hotels, Disney Springs, and the Boardwalk, it’s easy to collect pressed pennies, dimes, or quarters.

Pressed Pennies as Souvenirs

During our first Walt Disney World trip, I made my son a pressed penny checklist booklet.

Using colored copy paper and the checklists from PressedCoins.com (the experts on WDW pressed pennies), our booklet was an inexpensive souvenir of our trip.

We would pull out the booklet during long waits or at the end of the day and check off every place he had pressed a penny that day.

Our Pressed Penny “gear”:

  1. Clean pennies & quarters
  2. Mini M&M container to keep the loose coins
  3. Pressed Penny coin collector book to store our pressed pennies
  4. DIY Pressed Penny checklist booklet/guide

Similar to Pin Trading, you may prefer to only collect pressed coins from a particular park, your favorite rides, or your favorite characters.

Pressed Penny Booklet

Visit Pressedcoins.com for the latest penny machine checklists.  Print them on 8.5 x 11 paper, fold in half, add a colorful cover, and presto-change’o, you’ll have a fun pressed penny collectors guide for your trip!

Best Nights to Attend the Party

When planning your trip to Walt Disney World, you’ll want to choose the best night for your family to attend the party. You’ll also want to be sure to take into account the party nights while planning the rest of your park days.

Party Nights

Party nights vary by month. There are no party nights on Wednesdays or Saturdays.

  • August nights include select Tuesdays and Fridays
  • September nights include most Sundays, Labor Day Monday, plus select Tuesdays and Fridays
  • October nights include select Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, plus all Thursdays and Fridays
  • November 1st is a Friday

Usually, the first party night and Halloween night sell out early. In general, October Friday nights are popular with locals and the last party nights around Halloween – October 29 and November 1st are also very popular nights and may reach full capacity.

The party nights happen rain or shine, so if you purchase your tickets ahead of time, plan the appropriate adjustments (ponchos, costume modifications, etc) to enjoy the party.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Costume Policy

Dressing up is half the fun! Be it matching t-shirts, fun mouse ears with a Halloween twist, Disney bounding, or traditional costumes you’ll add excitement to your evening as you and those around you celebrate the season. You’ll want to make sure you follow Disney World’s costume policy in order to enter and be safe at the party.

Disney Worlds costume policy has changed over the past few years and has become more restrictive over time.

Here’s the current policy.

General Costume Guidelines for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

  • Disney may deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or could detract from other guests’ experiences.
  • Guests may dress as their favorite character, but may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other guests.
  • Costumes must be family-friendly and not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable, or violent.
  • Costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects, or materials that may accidentally strike another guest.
  • Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from, the park unless his or her costume can be modified to acceptable standards.

Guests ages 14 and over

  • Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
  • Costumes may not reach or drag on the ground.
  • Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.
  • Themed T-shirts, shirts, sweatshirts, and hats are acceptable.
  • Transparent wings, plastic lightsabers, toy swords, and tutus are acceptable accessories. Headwear may not cover the face.
  • Masks may not be worn.

Guests ages 13 and under

  • Costumes and some masks may be worn. Masks cannot cover the entire face.

All rules and regulations are subject to change without notice.

Expert tip: Dress for the Florida weather. If you are attending the party in August…it’s probably going to be hot and sticky, wear a lightweight, breathable costume or themed shirt. If there’s a chance of rain, choose a costume that can easily be covered by a poncho.
