Pressed Pennies or Elongated Coin Machines are available throughout the Walt Disney World Resort and Parks.
A pressed coin is created when it is squeezed, flattened, and engraved through two rollers.
Most of the machines are electronic, but there are hand-crank machines too.
Located in all parks and resort areas, including hotels, Disney Springs, and the Boardwalk, it’s easy to collect pressed pennies, dimes, or quarters.
Pressed Pennies as Souvenirs
During our first Walt Disney World trip, I made my son a pressed penny checklist booklet.
Using colored copy paper and the checklists from PressedCoins.com (the experts on WDW pressed pennies), our booklet was an inexpensive souvenir of our trip.
We would pull out the booklet during long waits or at the end of the day and check off every place he had pressed a penny that day.
Our Pressed Penny “gear”:
Clean pennies & quarters
Mini M&M container to keep the loose coins
Pressed Penny coin collector book to store our pressed pennies
DIY Pressed Penny checklist booklet/guide
Similar to Pin Trading, you may prefer to only collect pressed coins from a particular park, your favorite rides, or your favorite characters.

Disney is known for their outstanding service and helping you celebrate your birthday is right up their alley. While celebrating birthdays with my family we have experienced several of the following, I’ll call them ‘magical possibilities’.
Magical possibilities (a.k.a. things that might happen when you are wearing your birthday button):
In the Parks
